maintaining houston’s finest workplaces
We have been performing routine care and maintenance as well as expert repairs in offices across the city for over thirty years. Often repairs can be performed on site to keep furniture looking as new as the day it was purchased. Whether its a conference room suite, furniture in the lobby, or leather architectural details on walls or floors, we can provide your organization with necessary repairs and corresponding maintenance programs.
Here we have a set of ten conference room chairs at a local firm which suffered damage, particularly to the armrests from repeated rubbing along the underside edge of the marble conference room table. Conference tables in the modern world often have technical equipment such as outlets mounted underneath which can damage vulnerable chairs if not carefully avoided.
In this case, we removed the affected chairs to our workshop where the leather paneling on the arms was carefully removed and replaced. The color and finish was matched to the original leather on each chair.
Our team also installed a custom built vinyl protector along the underside edge of the conference table in order to avoid similar damage in the future.
caring for houston’s thriving restaraunts
Some repair and restoration work can only be performed on-site due to the specific nature of the project. Our specialists are experts at performing work on the road as well as at home in our workshop. Depending on the nature of your organization, we will schedule repair work to be completed off hours for your normal business operating schedule.
Here you can see our team making repairs and performing maintenance on a set of banquettes at Steak 48 in Highland Village. The seating areas receive considerable wear through normal use and are also subject to spills and other stains. Our team restored the color and protective coatings to the banquettes and performed overall conditioning to keep the leather soft and supple.
You can see Aurelio and Cecil evaluating a color match test performed on the far extent of the bench. The color in this region was the least damaged and closest to the original look and feel of the piece. Aurelio is holding a heat gun used to dry the coatings, and Cecil is shining a bright light on the area to check the integrity of the match. Lighting is a crucial component when performing a color match, and we observe the effects under different lighting scenarios in order to determine that the color is precisely what we intend it to be.
