The Scrap corner
Every workshop has a space where bits of leftover material from different projects all build-up together. Come explore our little scrap corner as we reflect on and remember some beautiful projects from the past.
Oil Stains on leather
One of the most difficult types of stains or “damage” to work with on leather is natural oils that can accumulate on the surface of the leather in areas make direct contact with the body, such as the armrests, headrest and leg rest areas of chairs and sofas.
Repairing dog Scratches on leather
We love our furry friends, however we know that they can get into mischief and add wear and tear to leather furniture pieces.
Feeling Those Vintage Leather Vibes
Take a sneak peek at this swanky seventies sofa that we restored in our Houston workshop. This charmer is a landmark bit of design history. Known as the Anfibio convertible sofa, it was designed by Alessandro Becchi in 1972 and has been produced by Giovannetti in Italy every since. We took this baby from garage man-cave status to museum-worthy in just a few short weeks.
Whoops! When Accidents Happen
Oops! Eek! Ah! Whoops! Nooo! These are all cries that we are familiar with in the leather repair and restoration business, but don’t worry because our team is here to help. Check out this nearly magical repair project that our craftsmen took on recently to revitalize an aniline dyed leather banquette that suffered an unfortunate run-in with hot candle wax.
