The iconic Barcelona chair was conceptualized and design by German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Spanish Royalty in the late 1920s. The design was later popularized by Knoll Inc, and has remained a quintessential favorite of the Bauhaus era.

Our team at Total Leather Care has been repairing, restoring and re-upholstering Barcelona chairs and ottomans at our Houston furniture repair shop since our start in the late 80s.

Many of the Barcelona chairs that come into our shop are well loved with minimal wear and tear, these piece are ideal candidates for what we call a “color restoration.” Through our color restoration process we remove the worn our color coating and clear top coating and install new updated modern coatings that are used in todays leather manufacturing industry . Not only can we custom match the original color, we can also custom a color based on the clients desired specifications. At Total Leather Care we can also install new support straps or retention the old straps if the have weakened.
